When I fancy a nice lunch or a freshly baked piece of cake, I visit EEHT, a lunchroom located right next to the windmill in Best.
EEHT has a special touch. Not only because of the original design, it is mainly the people who work there who make it so special. I immediately felt at home! Even before the opening I had a conversation with Maria Bekkers and Wilma, one of the people who works there as a waitress. She is fully dedicated to her new job and so are her collegues.
The name EEHT originates from the Dutch word THEE. Tea in English. It doesn’t mean you can’t get anything else to drink, I mean, they serve great coffees! But tea is their thing. The home made cookies look like teabags, they blend their own tea. There are lamps made of tea pots and so on and so on.
You can get delicious sandwiches, salads and apple pie. And … Soup of the Moment, because soup of the day was too dull according to Wilma.
The interior is smashing: old doors, lots of wood and black steel.
You can visit EEHT on working days between 10.00 and 16.30 hours. The kitchen closes at 3 pm. EEHT is located at Molenstraat 1B in Best. Don’t miss it!
