Three years ago, one of my favourtie colleagues Aad left with his entire family for Le Marche in Italy. They landed in the Urbino area and started an uncanny renovation project. The place needed to be demolished, bulldozed, mowed, planted and above all REBUILT. Aad kept us in the loop by posting all their adventures on Facebook. We always enjoyed them because of his typical tongue in cheek sence of humour.
After working like dogs for three year is a row, they finally got there. Agriturismo-Camping Pronto Campi will open its doors this year! Everything is brand new, there are comfortable sanitairy blocks, a nice swimming pool surrounded by sunbathing areas offering a 40 km view. The camp site is very child friendly.
The camping offers specific areas for campers or caravans and tents. The spots are spacious, about a 100 square meters each.
If you don’t feel like bringing your own camping gear, no worries. Aad and Sigrid offer completely furbished tents, of the classic De Waard brand. Don’t feel like camping itself? Then book the small and private apartment (1 double bed, 1 sleeping couch).
There is a cozy bar where you can meet up with the other guests and once a week you can join the pizza party. Like some fresh bread in the morning? Just place your order at the bar the nigth before.
If you want to go out, you have quiet a lot of options. A beautiful river where you can swim, sail and fish for example. But also museums, water parks and historical sites. The history of the region, Montefeltro, is very interesting. Many castles, fortresses and fortresses that you can still visit.
The icing on the cake however? For sure the warm company of Aad, Sigrid and their three kids.
